In 2020 SJRU will run Wave 1 of Girls Sizzling 7’s commencing on Saturday 15 February with the Wave 1 grand final on 7 April .

Frosty 7’s Wave 2 Term 2/3
Wave 2 for Frosty 7’s Competition starts with Round 1 on the 14th June and the Grand Final on 21st August 2020.

VENUES & TIMING for Sizzling 7’s and Frosty 7’s
Indicative timing of games will be between 3:00pm and 8:30pm under lights with a minimum of 2 games each Saturday night.
Clubs wishing to host would ideally have a minimum of three grounds available with lights.

Term 3
SJRU encourages Clubs and/or districts to host 7 a side Tournaments for boys and girls during term 3 in preparation for the NSW 7 a side State Championships in October. SJRU are happy to assist clubs applying for Tournament sanctioning.
NSW 7’s State Champs – October
NSW 7’s State Champs will be held on 9,10,11 October 2020 . This year’s 7’s competition will be for District based teams as with the 15’s competition. Districts will need to select teams for inclusion in the competition. Clubs will not be permitted to submit teams in the 2020 7 a side State Cup.
Open to girls in the following age brackets:

- U11 (can include U10 & U11)
- U13 (can include U12 & U13)
- U15 (can include U14 & U15)
- U17 (Opens) (can include U16 & U17 and Girls doing their HSC)**
** Note Any U18 Girls participating in the local competitions ie Frosty 7’s or SJRU XV’s are not eligible to be selected in any U17 Girls Representative Team.
